It is very important to us to inspire you with enthusiasm for the diversity and unique characteristics of microorganisms and to convince you of the importance of microbiology. Understanding microbiology and studying it is certainly not always easy, because the “world in miniature” is not easily grasped, and it requires a basic understanding of physics, mathematics, and often chemistry. And yet, we are confident that, together with you, we will succeed in exploring this world.

Through supervised BSc, state examination, or master’s theses, we will guide you toward working independently on a research project that is part of a larger project within the department.
